Hello and Happy Halloween!! Well I guess by the time you’re reading this it will all be over and for some people, the preparation for the next year’s celebration will be underway lol!
Have you been busy sewing all those incredible hand-made costumes in preparation of the big day….or are your kids like mine and never wanted anything I could make lol?!? I’m still not sure if it was a blessing or a curse lol!!
So since I’m sure you’re asking yourself what I’ve been sewing, I’ll let you know….but it’s a secret so you have to promise not to tell anyone, ok?!?
MASKS!!!!! Ok, I’m sure you’re thinking to yourself, “why does she seem excited to be making MORE masks?” but there’s a valid answer to that very valid question lol!! I’m making special masks for a couples getaway that I’m organizing for next weekend!!
My husband and myself and 3 other couples are heading off to Ottawa, Ontario, for a quick but jam packed full of fun weekend! We’re leaving super early Friday morning and will be back late Sunday night and I could not be any more excited if I tried!!
I got the idea for this weekend a few months ago from something I heard on the radio and since it involves something I’ve always wanted to do but is something my husband doesn’t want to do, I figured if I sneakily worked it into a fun weekend away with friends, how could he say no lol?!?
The big event is to do ………… at Diefenbunker Museum!! We’re also doing the guided tour at Diefenbunker, which we have done as a family many, many years ago, which we all thoroughly enjoyed!!
So since the main reason for the trip is to do the Escape Room, wherein you are secret agents …….. this gave me a “theme” to work with and I have planned so many fun activities all around “secret agents” lol!! We will have Code names, secret missions to fulfill on the drive and all weekend long!! Fun, right?!?
So that gives you a slight idea about why we need “special masks”!! As I’ve said numerous times before….we have to wear them so we might as well have fun with it, and for fun photos, wouldn’t it be hilarious if we had silly matching masks?!? Soooooo here they are……
Some manly mustache masks and glow in the dark lips for the women lol!! I’m thinking the women’s still need some tweaks, some beauty marks, some blush etc, but it’s a hilarious start!!
I will hand them out randomly in separate bags, one for each person that will also include some props for even more frivolity lol!!
Listen, life is short and we all know there’s no guarantees, so why not just live each day to the fullest, and most importantly, laugh!! Laugh and embrace your friendships….and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing, and lots of it!!
