Show Ready!

It’s been a glorious weekend here, well  at least that’s what it feels like when you see the sun streaming in the window but truthfully, it’s been bloody cold beyond that window! That’s OK, I love to see that sun and as long as you stay inside, like I do, it’s wonderful lol!

I must admit that I have hardly spent any time in my sewing room lately because I’m in “watch curling on TV and do puzzles” mode lol! There have been 2 curling events in the last 3 weeks and they’re each a week long which means I watch minimum 2 games when I get home from work then 3 games a day on weekends….doesn’t leave time for a lot else of anything really lol! I finally figured out how to watch/listen to the games on my phone at work so that’s helped but soon enough the season will be over for the year and then life can resume lol!

Sunday is going to be a bit of an interesting day because Jeff and I have  tickets to go see a very popular comedian in Hamilton, Ontario, which is about 1.5 hours away from us but the Gold Medal curling game is a a few hours before the show sooooo the plan is to be in Hamilton in time to go to a restaurant and watch the game and then head to the show lol! It will be a bit of a crazy day but completely worth it, I’m just so lucky that Jeff supports my crazy curling watching obsession lol!

So speaking of the show, I was getting myself ready for it, which includes switching my purse over to a smaller one that follows the policies of the theater we’ll be at and it occurred to me that I don’t think I’ve ever shared this particular bag with you, and thats just not right, so let’s make it right!

This is one of the first bags I ever made from this particular designer, RLR Creations Sewing Patterns, and even though it was over 5 years ago that I made it, I remember thinking that it was going to be a super easy make but let me tell you, there are so many little pockets in this little crossbody that it was more challenging than expected! I was still pretty new to bag making, too, and didn’t yet have much access to bag making supplies that I now consider necessities, most notably #5 zippers! So I used what I had and it turned out fine, it absolutely served it’s purpose of providing me with a super cute teeny tiny crossbody bag, and seriously, who knew then that due to it’s size, it would become a necessity for attending events in just a few years lol!

This is the pattern I’m referring to, the Tallulah Mini Hipster, isn’t she a cutie? Just by looking at this picture, you can see 3 zippers so we know there’s 3 pockets already but what’s hidden inside is the other 4 pockets lol! One is a clear ID pocket and I did omit that one because I didn’t have any clear vinyl so mine “only” has 6 pockets lol! I used a cute little succulents print that I had and I loved it! So here’s mine….

So….many….pockets! She’s little but mighty for sure! And since she “weighs in” at 6.5″ by 8.5″, she fits within the accepted dimensions of all the venues I’ve been too, and looks cute while doing it!

Well, it’s time for roadtrip to commence so I’m out! Wishing you all an amazing week ahead!
