And I’m Back!!

Hellooooo….I’m back baby!!! I’m sure you’ve all been anxiously waiting to hear how our weekend trip to Ottawa was and I can sum it up in one word…..

We had the absolute best time, the whole entire time!!! We all got along famously, there was so much chatting and laughter, even a few tears when sharing experiences, but it was all just perfect!!

Now I’m sure you’re also very excited to see the silly pic I promised of us all wearing those crazy masks I made, however, I don’t have one…..because we didn’t wear them lol!!! So here’s the scoop: I spent hours planning all these activities and games for us to play all weekend long, starting off with an “Eye Spy” game for the drive. Since we were going to specifically do an Escape Room, I felt like a Spy/Secret Agent theme would be perfect so everything I planned surrounded that! But as we all know, even when things are well planned, they can go awry!! This explanation makes it sound like something horrible happened but honestly, it’s the exact opposite!! We spent so much time gathered in small groups or all of us around the table just talking and laughing, there was never a dull moment where it seemed like we “needed” to do something!!! I carried all of this stuff to Ottawa….and brought it all home with me again lol!

I had so much fun doing all of that and it was a lot of work but I’m not even sad that we didn’t use any of it! I’ll hang on to it and maybe take it on our next adventure, or the one after that….or maybe I’ll host a “Secret Agent” party at our home and all this will be ready to go!!

So I’m back to reality, the mini-vaca is over so that also meant hitting the sewing room!! My friend ordered a Christmas Stocking for her little girl that she adopted and I wanted to get it done right away cause I know my friend, she’s an early Christmas decorator lol! As I was scrolling through FB on our drive home I saw that I was already too late, they decorated that weekend!! I quickly messaged her to see if she still wanted the stocking and she did so I knew what my Monday night was going to consist of!! And of course since I was making one stocking, what’s one more right?!? Ella’s roommate adopted a kitty, Iris, so it was only right that she have a stocking too obviously lol!!!

Fabric Used: Black Cats in Christmas Sweaters, Alloy Grey Sherpa

This is the same pattern I used previously, the Holiday Armadillo Stocking by Sincerely, Jen. I just love how quick and easy they are! Little Anna loves Princesses and Paw Patrol equally as much so it only made sense to make her one stocking with both of those materials and she can flip it to whichever side she is loving the most that particular day!! As for Iris’s stocking, well, do you think there was any other choice than kitties wearing Christmas sweaters?!?

Now that I’m done those stockings, I’m thinking my Christmas sewing is probably complete!!!!!!! At this exact moment, I can’t think of anything else I have to sew for gifts or just because!! Now of course, as I’ve already stated above, plans can go awry and I could end up having to sew something or several somethings but as of right now….I’m done!! Don’t worry, I’m not saying I have nothing to sew, that’s just silly lol, I have a couple of other projects to work on so I guess those will be up next!!

What about you, what have you been sewing? Do you have lots of Christmas things to sew or are you all done too? I’d love to hear all the wonderful things you’re creating too!!

I hope you have a great week and hope to see you back here real soon!! Take care!
