New calendar year makes you think of all the new things you can do in your life, and things you can refresh….such as your masks lol!!

Truthfully my daughter has been asking for new masks for a bit so finally this weekend I hunkered down and got them done! I’ve said many times before that I really don’t enjoy making them, for me, it’s a “necessity make”, not a “can’t wait to get started making this project” lol! For all of you that have lost count of how many you’ve made, whether to sell or to donate, I bow down to you lol!!!!

Here’s what I made….any guesses on which ones are hers and which ones are mine lol?!?
It was my intention to make the new outdoor cushions for my friend this weekend so I got my husband, Jeff, to cut the foam for me but that’s as far as I got…..but for a good reason…..I’m a chicken lol!!

You see, I’m making 2 new cushions for her. One is for a regular rectangular couch and the other one is for a loveseat. Here’s where the “eeek” comes in lol, the loveseat is narrower at the back and then gradually gets wider towards the front. My friend did make a paper template for me but when Jeff went to use it to cut the foam, the gradual increased sides weren’t quite even lol, so the dilemma became, which side was the correct measurement!!! Next time we were near her house, we popped by and took our own measurements buuuuuttttt just to be completely, 100% sure it’s the proper fit, I’m going to head over and just make sure it fits before I cut into the fabric….told you, chicken lol!!! And once again, this is why I don’t sell my wares or make things for people as a job, I’d never get anything done and make absolutely no money lol!!
I also thought I’d update you on my Goal Tracking Sheet that I started n January! First off, let me tell you that not long after I started it, I did make a revision! I was feeling this “pressure” to get in my sewing room to sew…something, just so I could colour in that day, and I quickly admitted that this was going to end up being a painful experience that I would probably completely quit because I hated it!!! So, I revised it to this new goal, “Be Crafty or Constructive Daily”, and gave myself 4 activities that I love to do, Sewing, Puzzle, Knit/Crochet and Read. It’s working out great and I’m so pleased to share this with you!

She’s so pretty and I honestly feel so accomplished! As you can see I’ve only been sewing and doing puzzles so far, but those other activities will happen eventually!
Here’s a recap of my January:
- -Sewed for 14.5 days
- -Puzzled for 11.5 days
- -Nothing for 5 days
I’m pleased with my progress so far!! Did any of you start doing this with me? If not, it’s never too late to start, and you can customize your list to your interests!!
Have a great week, stay safe and warm, and create something amazing!
