Short Interruption!

We interrupt your regular programming to bring you this special non-Valentine’s project!

Don’t worry, I haven’t suddenly turned anti-Valentines lol, I just whipped up this quick and practical project this week and I just had to share it immediately! I do have one more Valentine’s project to share but since it features my 2 Valentine’s, I decided to wait and show them off next weekend for my Valentine’s Grand Finale ❤️!

We recently bought ourselves new pots and pans (insert oohs and aahs rofl) which is boring AND exciting all at the same time, right? What we discovered in researching brands, was that, as is the case for most things, the pricing varies like crazy! You could easily spend $1000 or $99 lol! We’re bargain hunters so we definitely weren’t spending anywhere near that top end for sure!

Our last set were an awesome Canadian made brand, The Rock  and were a great deal and ended up lasting us 7 years, so we were pretty sure we would stick with them again. And that’s exactly what we did, but this time, instead of a black exterior, the set we chose had a pretty white finish!

Aren’t they so pretty, and fresh and clean looking! Sometimes “adult purchases” can be boring but also rewarding, and a bonus if they’re pleasant to look at lol!

Anyway, we got them home and I washed them up and prepared to put them away, which for us, is in the bottom drawer of the oven. We don’t really have a lot of cupboards in our kitchen so this is where our pots and pans have always lived! Since this drawer is kind of small, we stack the pots and pans inside each other, which is what I was about to do but I stopped….what if that scratched that pretty white exterior?!? I’ve admitted we didn’t spend that much but I still want to take care of them!!!

Jeff recalled seeing at Winners little felt or silicone inserts you could put between pots to protect them, which we decided we would do, but being a maker, can you guess what my next thought was?!?

We can’t help ourselves can we lol?!?

Sometimes when I start looking into a project, I think to myself that I’m probably the only person that has thought about making that particular item…and then one Google search shows me a ton of options so nope, you’re not that original Shawna lol! That’s exactly what happened in this case so quite quickly I fouund a Free Pattern from Hello Sewing that included the template for 3 different sizes, as well as a YouTube video from Debs Days from the pattern provider, but I liked how she did hers so I decided to do it her way using the templates.

I used up some floral fabrics I’ve had in my stash for awhile and I had some leftover pieces of Zorb that I spliced together and off I went. This was seriously the quickest project and they turned out so cute!

Since you just use picking shears to trim these, they will fluff up after washing so now I’m actually excited to do laundry for once lol!

Well friends, that was a fun one and so quick! I hope you enjoyed seeing them too! I feel like these would be great for lots of different circumstances, and knowing you talented people, I’m sure you could think of lots of ways too, and if you don’t, please share with us!

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead, and hopefully you’ll find some time to do something nice for you cause you absolutely deserve it!

Cheers!

Shawna
